Energy for Minnesota, by Minnesotans
Posted on | July 15, 2008 |
When we send money to foreign countries to buy nearly 70 percent of the oil we use every day, they build new skyscrapers and we lose jobs. When we spend that money building solar arrays and windmills, we build competitive industries and gain jobs here at home.
— from a recent speech by Al Gore
The same could be said about Minnesota. Where do we want our energy dollars to go? CETF says: spend them locally, to create jobs, prosperity, and self-reliance here in Minnesota. The proposed CapX project does not support locally produced energy that would benefit Minnesotans.
